Before starting, ensure you have all necessary items to avoid interruptions:
Desktop lightbox (main unit, acrylic panel, backframe, base)
Power adapter (included with the lightbox)
Screwdriver (Phillips-head, usually provided)
Cleaning cloth (microfiber recommended)
Your printed graphic (ensure it matches the lightbox size)
Optional: Double-sided adhesive tape (for extra graphic fixation)
Step 2: Unpack & Inspect Components
Carefully unpack the lightbox and all accessories from the packaging.
Check for any damage (e.g., cracks on the acrylic panel, bent frames, or faulty power cords) – contact the manufacturer immediately if defects are found.
Wipe the acrylic panel and lightbox interior with a dry microfiber cloth to remove dust or fingerprints.
Step 3: Install the Graphic Insert
Locate the acrylic panel (transparent front cover) and gently remove the protective film from both sides.
Open the lightbox frame: Most desktop models have a side latch or removable backframe – press the latch or unscrew the small screws (if applicable) to separate the front panel from the base.
Place your printed graphic flat inside the lightbox, ensuring it aligns with the edges (for backlit graphics, face the printed side toward the acrylic panel).
Secure the graphic (if needed): Some lightboxes have built-in clips; if not, use a small piece of double-sided tape on each corner to prevent shifting.
Reattach the acrylic panel to the frame – snap the latch closed or tighten the screws gently (avoid over-tightening to prevent cracking the acrylic).
Step 4: Assemble the Base (if applicable)
If your lightbox has a detachable base, align the base with the bottom of the lightbox frame.
Insert the provided screws through the base holes and into the frame’s pre-drilled slots.
Tighten the screws with the Phillips-head screwdriver until the base is stable (ensure the lightbox stands upright without wobbling).
Step 5: Connect Power & Test
Locate the power input port on the lightbox (usually on the back or bottom).
Plug the power adapter into the port, then connect the other end to a standard electrical outlet.
Turn on the lightbox using the power switch (typically on the side or back).
Verify the functionality:
Check if the light illuminates evenly across the graphic.
Ensure the graphic is straight and free of wrinkles.
Confirm the base is stable (adjust screws if the lightbox tilts).
Step 6: Final Adjustments & Safety Tips
If the light is dim or uneven, turn off the power, open the frame, and reposition the graphic or check for dust on the LED bulbs (wipe gently with a dry cloth).
Avoid placing the lightbox near water, heat sources, or direct sunlight to prevent damage.
Unplug the power adapter when not in use for extended periods.
For graphic replacement: Repeat Steps 3 and 5 (always disconnect power first).
